Development and Production Assistant
We are seeking a Production Assistant based in London to support the Production and Development teams in day-to-day functions.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with fittings, writing notes and taking photos.
- Organising and recording the sample archive.
- Sending out and tracking reference samples to overseas partners.
- Tracking and receiving prototypes and samples.
- Assisting with sourcing enquiries of trims, packaging and merchandise.
- Organising trim and fabric library as new selections come in from suppliers.
- Communicating with factories to notify of incoming or outgoing samples.
- Measuring development samples.
- Amending CAD drawings on Adobe Illustrator.
- Measuring pre-production samples of repeat styles.
- Bringing to attention any discrepancies between previous and current batches of production.
- Ad-hoc administrative errand and duties.
- Bachelor’s degree in fashion related field
- Excellent English written and oral communication abilities
- 1-2 years graduate assistant experience at luxury or contemporary fashion brands
- Must have a general understanding of the development and production process
- Calm and collected approach to dealing with problem solving
- Able to work independently as well as within a close knit team
- Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask
- Confident with voicing their opinion and giving constructive feedback.
- Computer proficiency in MS office: Word, Excel & Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
- Keen interest in design and able to understand and interpret the Réalisation aesthetic
- Experience working with knitwear is a plus but not required
- Experience working with jersey garments is a plus but not required
